Shamah Firdos is a 55 year old dairy farmer. Her husband has a heart condition so she works with one of her sons to provide for her family. She is hardly able to make enough money for livestock fodder let alone save some for her family. Paying 7,000 rupees for the piece of land she rents for livestock is also a challenge for her. With a loan of 60,000 rupees, she’d be able to provide proper and sufficient fodder for an entire season which would positively affect the milk production as well as improve her family’s income.
